Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 11, 2026

Last Updated: July 11, 2026

Hammonds Companies and its affiliated entities (collectively, “Hammonds,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information in connection with our websites and online services, including www.hammondscos.com (the “Site”), and related communications.

This Policy applies to personal information we process as a business in the United States and when we interact with customers, prospects, distributors, suppliers, and website visitors. By using the Site or providing information to us, you acknowledge this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or submit personal information.

This Policy does not apply to third-party websites or services that may link to or from the Site, or to employment candidate data processed under a separate notice, if any.

1. Personal Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

A. Information You Provide

  • Contact and business details: name, company name, email address, phone number, mailing or shipping address, job title, and similar identifiers.
  • Inquiry and quote information: messages, application details, product interest, flow rates, operating conditions, parts or service needs, distributor requests, attachments you choose to send, and other content you submit through contact forms, quote request forms, email, phone, or other channels.
  • Transaction and relationship information: purchase history, warranty or service requests, correspondence, and preferences related to Hammonds products and services.
  • Marketing preferences: opt-in or opt-out choices and communication preferences, where applicable.

B. Information Collected Automatically

  • Log and device data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring/exit pages, timestamps, requested URLs, and approximate location derived from IP address.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, links clicked, form interaction metadata (such as submission success/failure), and similar analytics about how the Site is used.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: small files or storage mechanisms that help the Site function, remember preferences, maintain security, and understand usage. Your browser may allow you to block or delete cookies; some Site features may not work properly if you do.

C. Security and Anti-Abuse Data

  • reCAPTCHA and bot-prevention signals: when enabled, Google reCAPTCHA or similar tools may collect hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and may use that information for spam and abuse prevention under Google’s terms and privacy policy.
  • Fraud and security indicators: information used to detect, investigate, and prevent malicious, fraudulent, or unauthorized activity.

D. Information from Third Parties

We may receive information from authorized distributors or service partners, logistics or payment providers (if used), publicly available business sources, event organizers, or service providers supporting our operations, consistent with applicable law.

2. How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to inquiries and provide quotes, product information, manuals, and technical or commercial follow-up;
  • administer customer relationships, orders, service, warranty support, and distributor coordination;
  • operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Site and our products and services;
  • detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, spam, abuse, and security incidents;
  • comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, and protect Hammonds, our customers, and the public;
  • send transactional or relationship communications related to your requests;
  • send marketing or promotional communications where permitted by law and consistent with your preferences; and
  • create aggregated or de-identified data that does not reasonably identify you, for analytics and business improvement.

3. How We Share Personal Information

We do not sell personal information for money. We may share personal information as follows:

  • Service providers: vendors that process information on our behalf, such as website hosting, cloud infrastructure, email delivery (including Amazon SES or similar providers), IT support, analytics, security, and customer communications tools. These providers are expected to use information only to perform services for us or as required by law.
  • Distributors and partners: authorized Hammonds distributors or service partners when needed to respond to your request, support sales or service in your region, or fulfill related business purposes.
  • Affiliates: related Hammonds entities for internal business operations and customer support.
  • Professional advisors: lawyers, auditors, bankers, and insurers as needed.
  • Legal and safety: when we believe disclosure is required or appropriate to comply with law, legal process, or governmental requests; to enforce our agreements; or to protect rights, property, safety, or security.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, where personal information may be transferred as part of the transaction, subject to continuing confidentiality protections where required.
  • With your direction or consent: when you ask us to share information or otherwise consent.

Security and anti-abuse providers (such as Google for reCAPTCHA) may receive information directly as described in their own privacy policies when those features are enabled.

4. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember settings, measure performance, and improve user experience. You can manage cookies through browser controls. Blocking cookies may affect Site functionality, including form or security features.

We may use first-party and third-party analytics to understand aggregate traffic and usage patterns. Where required by law, we will provide additional notices or choices for non-essential cookies.

5. Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including providing products and services, maintaining business and tax records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, detecting security incidents, and complying with legal obligations. Retention periods vary based on the type of information, our relationship with you, and legal requirements. When information is no longer needed, we take steps to delete, aggregate, or de-identify it, unless retention is required by law.

6. Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or stored by us. You are responsible for using secure systems and for the confidentiality of information you transmit to us.

7. International Visitors and Cross-Border Transfers

Hammonds is based in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States and other countries that may have different data-protection laws than your jurisdiction. By using the Site or providing information, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or other safeguards for cross-border transfers.

8. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • request access to or a copy of personal information we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate personal information;
  • request deletion of personal information, subject to legal and operational exceptions;
  • opt out of certain marketing emails by using unsubscribe links or contacting us;
  • appeal a decision regarding a privacy request, where applicable law provides an appeal right; and
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, where applicable.

To exercise a privacy request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights available under applicable law.

California and Similar U.S. State Notices

If you are a resident of California or another U.S. state with comprehensive privacy legislation, you may have additional rights regarding personal information, including rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of certain sharing or targeted advertising, subject to exceptions. Hammonds does not sell personal information as “sale” is commonly understood (exchange for money). If we engage in activities that constitute a “sale” or “share” under a specific state law, we will provide required notices and opt-out mechanisms.

Categories of personal information we may collect and disclose for business purposes include identifiers, commercial information, internet or electronic activity information, and professional or employment-related information, as described in Sections 1–3.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 16 (or under 13 where that is the applicable standard), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no common industry standard for responding to such signals, the Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track requests. We will update this Policy if that practice changes.

11. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including distributors, map providers, document hosts, or social platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. Review their privacy policies before providing personal information.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date indicates the latest revision. Material changes will be posted on this page and, where required by law, communicated by other appropriate means. Your continued use of the Site after an update becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
