How We Perfected Tablet Water Chlorination

In 1994, Hammonds introduced the industry’s first factory engineered and manufactured pressurized system, making tablet chlorination a viable disinfection alternative for pressure fed applications. Previously available only as gravity systems or in “do-it-yourself” kits, Hammonds utilized bare tablet feeders in systems aimed at the municipal and industrial water treatment industry. Those systems have been the industry standard for tablet chlorination; however, a sophisticated and maturing market has demanded further innovation in tablet erosion technology.

With hundreds of systems in the field covering most disinfection applications, Hammonds has gained vast experience in what makes a tablet system work consistently with minimum service and attention. Hammonds advanced technology magnetic vortex feeders utilize a fixed, reduced volume of water in order to produce consistent calcium hypochlorite solutions that compensate for variations in chlorine demand, temperature, pH, chemistry assay, chemistry age and system pressure. Our exclusive Tab Saver® system dramatically extends tablet fill intervals by eliminating gradual degradation of the tablets and “bridging.”
