Meet Carl Hammonds
Hammonds unveiled its own next-generation advanced technology table chlorination system, which is significantly safer, more efficient, and more dependable than any other chlorination system on the market. Hammonds has long been considered an innovator and a forecaster of tomorrow's technology. He attended Sam Houston State University and the University of Houston where he originally planned to become a teacher. Later, Hammonds moved toward his current field by working with a number of Houston companies ranging from the marine industry to industrial pump and hydrostatic test equipment manufacturing. Hammonds also founded Precision Hydroplastics, Inc., where he built, under his own name, a line of commercial and pleasure boats. By 1968, his company was the first to build a forerunner of today's personal watercraft. He later started Delta Source Corporation, building early versions of the Hammonds line of fluid-powered injectors and hydrostatic testers. Eventually, the company was renamed Hammonds Technical Services, Inc. By July, 1991, Hammonds Fuel Additives, Inc. was born, following the purchase of the Biobor® JF product line from U.S. Borax and Chemical Co. Three years later, Hammonds extended the product line by introducing FIZZY® Anti-Icing Fuel Additive, ColdFlo® Fuel Improver, Select3® Diesel Conditioner and LubriBor® Hi-Tech Lubricity Agent. Today, in addition to tablet water chlorination systems, his company manufactures fluid-powered additive injectors, in-tank injectors for the trucking industry, as well as a complete line of aviation fuel additive products. Hammonds' latest goal is to bring to market one of his passions; an entirely new concept in vehicle design called the ODV, an Omni Directional Vehicle. The new vehicle has many applications in the aviation ground support and utility vehicle market. In his spare time, Hammonds is active in his church, enjoys flying, woodworking, motorcycling and building a pipe organ in his home. Yet, Hammonds leads the Hammonds Companies with a futuristic vision and a problem/solution approach. The companies are driven by Hammonds' "not-the-same-old-way" solutions to various materials handling problems. Hammonds engineering and design philosophy is to work "backwards". How does he accomplish this? By considering how the customer will use his finished product in a real-world application, he then designs a fresh, clean approach to accomplishing the needs of the user. Hammonds is a staunch advocate of his fellow employees. "We simply have the best at Hammonds, with whatever level of success we enjoy being the result of the talent and dedication of every single employee." It's a philosophy he'll carry into the future as he plans to expand the Hammonds product line with innovative approaches to tablet water chlorination.
